Dear IP-Caucus Members,
At the 2006 CCCC meeting in Chicago, the IP Caucus unanimously approved a statement regarding plagiarism detection services--pending any final minor edits to correct errors in phrases and punctuation. Over the summer, the committee (Lisa Maruca, Sally Chandler, Wendy Austin, Becky Howard) tweaked the document according to feedback, and it is ready for your final review. Please see the attached file. At this point, any extensive revision in substance would require a re-vote or a separate statement. If you have any final minor tweaks, however, please let us know by leaving a comment. The commenting period will end at 11:59pm PDT on Tuesday, Sept. 26, after which the PDS statement will be forwarded to the Intellectual Property Committee of the CCCC for consideration.
Many thanks, Karen Lunsford Charlie Lowe
