Mailing List Instructions

General information:

• Send email to: cccc-ip@mail.coafes.umn.edu (in the interest of SPAM prevention, only members are allowed to post)
• Send problems to: cccc-ip-owner@mail.coafes.umn.edu
• If you wish to subscribe, or make changes to your subscription (setting the list to "digest" for example) you'll need to take some steps using the web-based list manager.
• One matter which may prove momentarily confusing is that this list management system may ask existing members for a password. This password protection should GREATLY reduce the amount of SPAM the list receives, and will also allow for more self-management of list options. To get your password and begin making changes to the list, carefully follow these directions:
  1. Proceed to the web-based list manager
  2. Scroll to the bottom of this page, and look for the following instruction: "To change your subscription (set options like digest and delivery modes, get a reminder of your password, or unsubscribe from cccc-ip), enter your subscription email address:" and enter your e-mail address in the corresponding space.
  3. Click the "Edit Options" button.
  4. Once the new page opens, look for "Forgotten Your Password? Click this button to have your password emailed to your list delivery address." and click the button. Your password will be e-mailed to you directly.
• The list will automatically send you a "reminder" of your password once a month, and if you are content with your current settings, there is no reason NOT to wait a month for the password to be mailed to you, but if you wish to get in there and set the list to digest or make any other adjustments, you'll need to follow the above directions to get the password sent to you. The password can then be used to allow you to set your list preferences. The directions listed above also could serve as the steps to unsubscribe from the list, but, given that the list will be better than ever, and largely SPAM-free, why would anyone choose to do so?
